Some quality of life enhancements that you'll notice when next you access some features. Mercenaries are now more expensive to maintain. I'd go further in depth, but let's just leave that alone. There are now no attribute differences between male and female player characters, which almost made sense, but it doesn't. Some lord personalities are set, but for good reason in most cases. Better relationship defined familial relationships in the world. Various minor changes regarding instances of getting renown that, in the base game, didn't always make sense. Unique or near-unique items balanced so that the ones you always used are nerfed while the ones you never or rarely used are boosted. It's like the Elf's Langseax and similar gear.) (I mean, I never used it even on my companions because I could never get the strength requirements, but I still liked the idea that this was the axe you got from the Troll, even if he wasn't technically a troll.

The Troll's Axe is now used by some troops, and the strength requirements are reduced by one, but has been renamed "Dane Axe" because making two separate items didn't happen for some reason. Massive tweaks to the troop trees, as detailed above. Map speed is reduced, which means everything now takes longer to do, making trading, fighting wars, and just existing harder. Tournament fighting gear and rewards are made more regional, but you can't get a horse from them anymore, just a pony. Gloves are more common, but less worth using. Horses are cheaper though, so that's nice. Cavalry is more common, but more expensive. Also, I apologize for my attitude in advance, but there are various changes I don't like. I recently read through almost all the changes (apart from update 13, unfortunately) so I thought I'd sum up the most important elements of them and some minor ones for anyone who doesn't want to spend at least half an hour reading through everything.
